Liz grew up in Australia listening to John Farnham and watching Dirty Dancing on repeat. At school, she made stop-motion blu-tak man movies, and shot documentaries about her friends when she should have been doing her homework.

After a short detour studying Law, she got a degree in Film and TV, followed by a brief stint as a runner in a post house.  Between flat whites, she cut her teeth making music videos for her mates on weekends. Her first ever commercial landed her in the Shots/CPE Young Director’s Awards in 2005, subsequently killing any chance of her having a 'real job'. She's been directing commercials, promos and shorts ever since.

With a couple of award winning campaigns under her belt, she moved to London in 2010, and began to focus on emotive, lifestyle and narrative films – her key passion in life?  ‘To make stuff that gives people the feels.’

Her work has been awarded around the globe, and she was recently featured by Campaign as one of the top 10 female directors you should know.

When she’s not making films, she’s making elaborate Lego castles with her daughter, who is usually dressed as a mermaid.
